The Whisky Ventures Ride supported two Scottish charities; Both do outstanding, and often taken for granted, work with some of the most vulnerable members of society who are in need, be that in a one-off emergency or through ongoing support. Money was raised in two ways, firstly through an online giving page, and second through a charity auction of the whisky bottles donated by the distilleries I visited along the ride.
Total Raised from the giving page and the bottle auction = £9793
Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK through numerous amazing programs and projects. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They work with a variety of organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, supporting families who often have nowhere else to go. This ride will raise funds in aid of the Scottish regions of Cash for Kids, therefore, any support you give will stay local, directly helping those who need it in our/your communities.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance operate two emergency medical helicopters, one based in Perth, the other Aberdeen. Covering the whole of Scotland, they respond to time-critical emergency calls alongside their partners at the Scottish Ambulance Service. However, the charity receives no government funding, so rely 100% on donations from the public to operate their life-saving flights. From their two bases the SCAA can reach approximately 90% of the Scottish population within 25 minutes and transport patients to specialist hospitals to receive the most appropriate advanced care much quicker than any road transport could manage.
